Funny Girl

I just saw a coupon for Poise menopause related products in a magazine and had a little LOL moment to myself.  They were a sponsor at the BlogHer conference and had a booth in the expo hall with a big sign that said something like, "Got hot flashes?"  They were giving out little personal fans and samples of their cooling wipes. 

Princess went up to them and said, "My dad gets really bad hot flashes.  Can I have some for him?"  They laughed and loaded her up with menopause relief products for her dad.

She's growing up so fast and I don't get nearly as many of those moments where she's hilarious without even realizing it.  Since she didn't become my baby until she was 9, I missed out on that toddler and preschool, "OMG! I can't believe my child just said that in public!" phase.

However, she did have me laughing all day recently.  She has a report coming up on a famous influential person.  Just before it was time to head out for school she said,

"I'm not going to do my report on Princess Diana anymore.  I don't think princesses do enough good.  I'm either going to do it on Thomas Jefferson or..."

WAIT FOR IT.

"...Billy Ray Cyrus."

Then she pulled books on each out from her backpack.

I still haven't been able to keep a straight face long enough to ask her why Billy Ray Cyrus.  She only knows him from Hannah Montana and being Miley's dad.
